A Core Banking Transformation program can require participation from various bank stakeholders like staff, management, its customers. It also requires setting up CBS infrastructure, multiple delivery channels and integration with third party systems.
To keep the time and cost under control in this transformation process, and to minimize the pains in the transformation, we along with customer follows established delivery process
The project team shall do a detail walk through of the product along with the concerned bank team to identify gaps and map current processes with the ones used in Custodian-CBS.
The gaps and process mapping shall be discussed and the customization needs would be finalized with the Bank team. The changes would be documented and signed by both the parties
Customization if any shall be forwarded to the Development team for development & estimation for required man-days will be given after detailed analysis of the requirement of the Bank.
At the same time the team shall also undertake data migration process with the help of Bank’s
IT team. Gaps and data mismatch if any shall be communicated to the Bank.
Bank shall make arrangements to bring the missing data on board.
The UAT team will complete the UAT by testing all kinds of transactions, daily reports, RBI and statutory returns.
Changes if any, shall be reconfirmed and passed on to the development team.
Once the changes are completed, UAT for those changes shall be conducted.
After the UAT sign off, the data for the cutoff date from Data Vision shall be re-migrated and online transactions on Custodian CBS shall be started.
Parallel to the UAT, training for the users shall be conducted.
The implementation shall be closely monitored by Sr. Manager – Implementation & Support and Director- Implementation and Support.
